The New Curators Project is an outreach programme for UCL Special Collections, which creates and supports a cohort young practitioners who are interested in working in the cultural heritage and arts sector — a historically difficult area of work to access without a university degree / or the ability to undertake unpaid work experience. This chasm has resulted in a workforce that is not representative of the audiences many organisations seek to engage.
The New Curators Project provides training, real-life work experience and seeks to create a new kind of network of early-career individuals in the field. They asked for a logo and colour palette that felt current, but professional and would appeal to young adults.
